The Pyramid 56ers was organized in 1992 by Sue Henderson. The club originally met at the Hickory Ridge Mall but moved its meetings to the Family Life Center of Central Church at the corner of Mendenhall and Kirby in 1993. When Central Church moved to a new location in Collierville, the club met there for about a year and then moved to the Germantown Library. When the Germantown Library separated from the Memphis Public Library system, we moved our meetings to the Cordova Branch Library. Meetings traditionally occurred on the second Thursday of February, April, June, August, and October at 7:00 pm. The December meeting was replaced by a Tour of members' homes and later by a Christmas party. For 2008, members decided to hold meetings in individual members homes on our regularly bi-monthly schedule but not necessarily on the second Thursday. Members are informed of the location, time, and date of each at the meetings, through the newsletter and by email. Elections take place at the February meeting and dues are to be paid on or before the April meeting. There are three types of dues. Individual memberships and associate memberships (Department 56 retailers) are $20 per year. Dual memberships are $25.

THE VILLAGE NEWS

The club's newsletter is published 6 times yearly to keep members informed about meetings, introductions of new products, retirements, gatherings, etc. It is usually sent out about 2 weeks before each meeting and during the last week in November. To read or download the current issue click here.
